Bauer portable speakers 1950s - 1960s

As in the Klangfilms there were also very nice speakers in the portable Bauer cabinets. As they produced speakers until the 80s which are not really interesting, I will concentrate on the earlier models.

Coaxial Speaker AlNiCo version

Great Coaxial speaker with DEW Magnet ("Magnetfabrik Dortmund").

This is 12" wide range speaker with 2 tweeters.

The crossover network consists of only one paper in oil capacitor with 4uF.

PQ5 K1/2 speaker cabinet

Cabinet that usually came with P5 projector. Contains the upper coaxial speaker and provides space to transport one of the EL84 PP amps.

PQ5 K1/3 speaker cabinet

Cabinet that usually came with P5 projector. Contains the upper coaxial speaker and provides space to transport one of the EL84 PP amps.

Pantason speaker cabinet

This is the earlier Pantason projector with the portable speaker. Here there are no tweeters. This system is similar to the Siemens Cabinet with the Klangfilm KL 405 speaker.

Click on the picture to see the speaker's back side with its huge magnet.

There is also a smaller Pantason cabinet containing the Siemens 6S ELA 3213 speaker.
